Privacy Policy

Last updated: August 23, 2026

This Privacy Policy explains how YOUR LEGAL NAME / ENTITY ("AccountPilot", "we", "us") handles information in our public website and local-first desktop application.

1. Scope

This policy applies to the AccountPilot website, desktop application, support interactions, and supported platform integrations.

2. Information the website handles

The public website is designed to operate without advertising trackers. Standard hosting infrastructure may process technical request data such as IP address, browser type, requested URL, timestamps, and security logs. If you contact us, we process the information you choose to send.

3. Information the desktop application handles

Depending on the features a creator uses, the desktop application may handle account profile metadata, authorization status, OAuth access and refresh credentials, publishing jobs, local media paths, captions, scheduling metadata, post status, and account performance data authorized by the creator.

4. Local-first storage

Account and publishing data is designed to remain on the creator's computer unless it must be transmitted to a connected platform to perform an authorized operation. Authorization secrets are intended to be protected using operating-system security facilities. We do not intentionally expose access tokens, refresh tokens, client secrets, or temporary upload URLs in the public application interface.

5. How information is used

  • Connect and identify accounts the creator has authorized.
  • Prepare, validate, schedule and publish creator-approved content.
  • Retrieve publishing status and authorized account analytics.
  • Provide creator support, product security and reliability.
  • Improve creator-facing recommendations using scoped, validated application data.

6. TikTok integration

When a creator connects TikTok, information is exchanged with TikTok according to the permissions the creator grants and TikTok's developer terms and policies. Creators can revoke authorization through TikTok or supported account controls. AccountPilot is independent software and is not affiliated with or endorsed by TikTok.

7. Sharing and sale of information

We do not sell creator personal information. Information may be transmitted to a connected platform when necessary to perform an operation expressly authorized by the creator. We may also disclose information where required by law or necessary to protect users, the service, or others.

8. Retention and deletion

Local application records remain under the creator's control and may persist until deleted through the product, removed from the device, or otherwise cleared by the creator. Support communications may be retained for reasonable operational, security and legal purposes.

9. Security

We use reasonable technical and organizational safeguards appropriate to a local-first desktop product. No system is completely secure. Users should keep their operating system, AccountPilot software and connected accounts protected.

10. Children

The service is not directed to children below the minimum age required to use the relevant platform or digital service in their jurisdiction.

11. International users

Connected platforms and hosting providers may process information in multiple countries. Their own terms and privacy policies govern their processing.

12. Changes

We may update this policy when product functionality, legal requirements or platform integrations change. The updated date will be shown at the top of this page.

13. Contact
